Subject: ELEPHANT TALK Special Announcement

The future of ET is in doubt.

Ken Bibb, our US distributor, is forced to step down, after several years
of amazing service. We're sorry to see him go, but c'est la vie, and we
wish him well.

We therefore need a new email distributor. Coupled with this, I want to
take this opportunity to rationalise, centralise, automate and simplify the
distribution.

I am seeking a volunteer to take over the email dictribution of ET, and
management of subs/unsubs/address changes/bounces etc. I will continue to
look after Editorial matters, and compile/edit each issue.

I anticipate moving to a fully automated system, based on (for example)
Majordomo, so am looking for a volunteer with experience in this area, a
reliable Internet connection, and the commitment to take this job on. With
a good automated system, the workload should be small.

I can add that the ET team is fun to work with (right Ken, Dan?).
