Fripp said that ] both the League and Sunday All Over the World were active Fripp said in Reflex magazine (August ish?) that he would be leaving the League for a while, essentially letting the more experienced GC students take over. On the other hand, Toyah's latest, _Ophelia's Shadow_, has a former Guitar Craft student...errr, Frank Gaballe (not sure on this) doing guitar duties, and everyone else from Sunday joins the fun (plus cameos by Tippet and err...Gordon Haskell? I forget again...). So Fripp isn't absolutely neccessary to Sunday... ] Tony Levin will probably want to tour with Gabriel when his ] album (finally) comes out in June ... Then again, maybe not: the June date may be a bit optimistic! :-) Besides, Levin always seemed to love he got to play whatever he wanted and enjoyed an almost front-man position too. I'd say Tony would go back to Crimson if asked to. His involvement in the boxed set production is a good indication of this. ] what's the story with Belew's new album? It should be released near the end of this month. The title has the word "Revolution" in it, but I forget the rest (boy, my memory sux!). ...leaving us with Bruford. If the report of him leaving Yes is correct, then he should be free for a while, since the latest Earthworks album came out late last year. Let's admit it: we all knew that Bruford would blow Yes - it was all just a matter of *when*! :-) But Bruford *wanting* to join Crimson again? Well, I can see it happening. Bruford and Fripp always have their differences, but Bruford says he enjoys playing up to a challenge, which Fripp *always* gives him. Besides which, I think Bill's "chordal drumming" that he developed with Earthworks would go great with the "new" Crimson sound. What albums did they release and, of these, which do you recommend the most highly? Hmm. Maybe a spring Crimson tour is way premature. I'm looking for something representing the Fripp-Wetton-Bruford concerts, but don't have much desire to blow 25 bucks on a POOR quality CD. Considering the amount of Crimso boots that are out there (About 15, last I checked) there should be at least one of listenable quality. But then again, I still haven't listened to my vinyl _Earthbound_ that I picked up yesterday.... Evidently, Fripp wasn't too happy with it, though..... -- Jason Bilsky fuzzbox at world dot std dot com st883045 at pip dot cc dot brandeis dot edu !(617)736-7178!!!If I'm on my modem call (617)736-7145!!!
