Better yet, has > anybody on this list attended a GC course? Actually, I believe I have a couple of the Monographs. I have also attended two GC courses, the first in Malibu and the second near Santa Cruz. Nash Subject: Essential and abbreviated To clear up the questions about these CD's: "Frame by Frame: The Essential King Crimson" is a 4 CD boxed set. It contains music from the various eras of KC, plus a CD worth of live tracks (again, from very old to more recent). Most of the studio stuff is on "Young Person's Guide to KC," although there is the usual remastering and a few different tracks (including Adrian Belew doing vocals on Cadence and Cascade, and "The KC Barbershop Quartet" (!)) "Heartbeat: The Abbreviated KC" is a short (about 25 minutes) CD of edits, again spanning the years. This was originally to be distributed only to radio stations for promotional use, but Fripp decided to make it available to the public. Both CD's were selected by Fripp, I believe. The boxed set has the usual booklet (incl "Fripp's journals") and I believe a family tree for the group. My video (off TV) recording of a KC gig in France (Beat era -- I think this may be commercially available, but not in the UK at least. Anyone know?) has screwed up, and I really miss hearing Larks Tongues in Aspic part II. If this video is a commercial release and anyone has it, would a kind soul tape the soundtrack for me? I'll cover all costs! On a related note, the "Frejus -- the Noise" (sp?) video is unavailable in the UK. Could anyone tape this for me? FINALLY (for musicians only) exactly what IS the opening chord in Larks Tongues in Aspic part II? I have the melody part figured out for this tune, but some of the chords are bugging me!
