Turner" Subject: Guitar Craft In my last posting, in which I described (briefly) seeing Fripp and the League of Crafty Guitarists, I forgot to mention that I picked up some info on Guitar Craft, including a description of the philosophy of Guitar Craft, the Guitar Craft Standard Tuning, and info on Guitar Craft courses. The tuning was particularly interesting to me since Fripp mentioned it in a Guitar Player interview a couple of years ago, but wouldn't divulge it at the time. This was the first time I'd seen it. I also picked up an essay titled "An Invitation To The Audience", which is pretty interesting, and a poster titled _Guitar Craft Monograph III_ and subtitled "Aphorisms". The latter is a list of aphorisms (surprise, surprise), similar to those that were on _Let the Power Fall_ (at least I think that's the album they were on). My favorite is: Music is the cup which holds the wine of silence; sound is that cup, but empty; noise is that cup, but broken. Anyway, has this stuff been typed in already? If so, I'd like to know where to get it. If not, I'll probably go ahead and type it in, especially the Aphorisms. If anyone is interested, I'll post them as I get them typed in. -John Turner P.S. Does anybody have GC Monographs I or II? Better yet, has anybody on this list attended a GC course? Recently I was told that there's around a King Crimson CD called "The Essential Crimson". Does anyone know what songs it contains? I am very interested in knowing more about the history of Crimson? Is there any good book about Crimson that I can get? Thanks. I did find out about "The Essential Crimson". It is a box set containing 4 CDs I think. Kind of historical stuff. But now I have another question. "Notewhorty" Catalog has listed a CD called "The abreviated Crimson" (selections made by Robert Fripp). The guys in Noteworthy weren't able to give more info. It douns interesting, becasue it looks like "The MAN" himself did the selections. Any info? Thanks a lot. I know of a PD package, musicTeX, that can be used to create such score in "dvi" format, and of another one, dvips, that can finally create the PostScript files. I know a bit of musicTeX programming, but I'm not a good musician---may we create a group of people working at editing some KC scores?
