Of course the freeware vsts I use are no match to the Eventides sonically but I am most interested in the use of long delay lines and the musical phenomena that can be created with repetition and layering. Could somebody help me to identify the gear in this photo?: http://www.dgmlive.com/vision.htm?show=1071&id6 At this time this is the gear I have identified: 2U Eventide 2U Eventide 1U Eventide Eclipse 1U unknown * 1U Roland GP100 1U unknown * 2U Eventide 2U Eventide 1U Power Source 2U empty 1U Power Source 4U Storage ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 Sep 2006 19:48:18 -0700 (PDT) From: Robert Subject: R.I.P., Pip Pyle My favorite drummer (no offense to Bill Bruford) passed away on August 28, 2006. His music, lyrics and playing have been a part of the soundtrack of my life for the past 25 years. Just recently I got to see him with Hatfield and the North--and now he is gone. He will be missed. http://www.pippyle.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Sep 2006 14:49:24 +0000 From: progopolis Subject: BRUFORD HOUR part II (by popular demand) By popular demand, Prog'opolis will be doing yet another "Bruford Hour", celebrating the work of gentleman Bill Bruford and various career projects. The teams were asked to state who is the special guest. first clue was this guitarist played with Frank Zappa, nobody got the answer, more clues and nobody still got the answer. Anyway who walked on but Adrian Belew, played Elephant talk live. He was interviewed and at the end of the program played Heroes with the house band. These programs are released on DVD and this episode should be out in a couple of months. Let the crimson world know of this great show we all missed around the world. My friend in OZ was screaming at the TV because the teams could not get Belew and was speechless when he walked on etc. Phoned in UK to tell me. This program went out on Saturday 9th September Steve miles dot moore at talktalk dot net ------------------------------ End of Elephant Talk Digest #1243 *********************************
