This got me looking around the net and I found a passenger list for that flight http://web.syr.edu/~vpaf103/victims.htm but it does not contain the name Joanna Walton. Did she get married and change her name? Does anyone have any information about her? Thank you ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Jul 2006 16:13:00 -0500 From: Chris Cowan Subject: P6 - but what about P5???? > > OK, so we now have a ProjeKct 6 -- but what was/is ProjeKct 5???? > > Or have I missed something? > > David Maclennan I was somewhat perplexed by this, too. There was a Project X configuration with Belew, Fripp, Mastelotto and Gunn. The album was Heaven and Earth. Was that X as in "10"? Fripp also referred to the Construkction of Light lineup as "Level 5". And Level 5 was obviously the name of an album. Of course, I think (but can't remember totally) that perhaps that ProjeKct 5 was reserved for the Belew, Fripp, Mastelotto and Levin lineup? Which never seems to have gotten off of the ground. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Jul 2006 23:23:20 EDT From: Twhusbands Subject: Is Fripp even interested in KC anymore? After reading the latest diary entry/presentation from RF on the DGM site, I have to ask if he is even considering composing for and recording with KC anymore. He refers to "young audiences" and "young musicians", and also contrasts the audiences who go to see Tool with his personal tastes and drives of the moment. RF seems to have turned his back on the music industry as we know it completely, to the point that he will not even entertain the thought of appearing to participate in it. The entry as a whole seemed to be an acknowledgement and announcement that KC, for the moment at least, is over. If anyone out there has any information confirming or, hopefully, disproving this interpretation of RF's diary entry, please post it in ET ASAP. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Jul 2006 02:59:38 EDT From: Kissman24 Subject: Porcupine Tree Just a Few Words on Porcupine Tree Hey guys -- I've been (mostly) lurking on ET for quite a few years now, and I've decided to step out of the shadows for a moment to say a few words about the ever-popular Porcupine Tree. I know many progsters really hail them as an incredible band, but I personally can't find too much to like in their catalogue. While I admittedly don't own any of their records, my two closest friends have every single one, and I've heard nearly all of them a number of times. I tend to enjoy a fair amount of their earlier works, but Deadwing and (moreso) In Absentia really ruin the band for me. I simply don't like the obligatory chug-along, Dream Theater style, "metal" riffs that they seem to throw into every track. It's kind of upsetting to see Project VI opening up for PT (although I certainly cannot blame them). I'd much rather see a full-on performance from Robert & Adrian in a smaller, club setting (this would also probably cost significantly less money per ticket). Or maybe if they opened for Spock's Beard (not to say that Spock's Beard are all-around incredible, but I really like some of their stuff)... ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Jul 2006 14:38:56 -0700 (PDT) From: Raymond Raupers Subject: Beat from the basement. It's clever to be found on the set side of things. Aside the others. Beat and Beat. First off it's time to remove the age old notice that Robert vomit threads are off limits, it sets an unnecessarily stodgy tone amidst the absence of posts regarding Bob's resemblence to his Father's antisocial behaviour, (if that's what Bob called it in his Mom's Eulogy). I never grasped the beat of Bob's reference to his Father in the eulogy and probably never will. But is this not the basement? And a Brufordless KC is not impossible to discuss. Behold the dregs of an old ET. The passionate ET that stood in the face of KC. Dregs of a means, and to an end, indisciplined. When censorship, intolerance of individualism, and objectivism, ruled, and attempted scorn whenever possible. Question society. And as I round this corner of barbed wire, I ask. "What does KC have to do with the beats?" Was it anything more than Adrian Belew? Only Adrian spoke his mind and healed his heart, over coals. It was the closest KC ever got to saying anything, after the nap that followed In The Court Of... Heartbeat, heartbeat. So close...to the basement. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jul 2006 15:39:31 +0000 From: progopolis Subject: Trey Gunn Appreciation Hour and Syd Barrett Tribute Join us in celebrating the life of one of rock's most visionary and tragic figures, Syd Barrett.
