I believe there are also cassette versions of each of the above also, but possibly only of the 1979 version. However I have recently performed a very detailed analysis of an extremely rare vinyl test pressing of Exposure from 1978. This is the one that Fripp had to abandon due to all the hassles he received from Daryl Hall's management. It is a real treat to hear and the best work of Hall's career (in my opinion). Read about it here...but don't ask for a copy. You will receive no reply. http://home.cogeco.ca/~frippertronics/Fripp-Remixes.htm ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Mar 2005 11:35:56 EST From: Wilcox660 Subject: Tour '08 "A demand to fetishize and imprison the event within the constraints of photography, autography and recording." Flash forward: KC tour 2008 (the great move sideways). "Audients" will be screened for cameras, cell phones, recording devices, cigarettes, and bright clothing. Following a disturbing incident of "boobyism" at a pub on July 28, 2006 (as detailed in a now legendary diary entry) KC will also no longer perform in front of Protestants or any audients born in Wales. Members of the recently formed KCommunion of the KCrimson KCing KClub wearing their official glare-free deluxe badges will be offered an opportunity to purchase the deluxe "Tourbox 08" that includes a full 7 minutes of studio chatter, a previously unreleased 15 second ending of "Red," and a 3 X 5 photo of Adrian Belew looking at a genuine Fripp signature (written voluntarily, it must be added!). All this housed in an exclusive jewel KCase for a mere $74.00. The KCrowd goes wild! (but in a controlled & approved fashion.) "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!" 99.9% of the people on this list would eagerly accept the above scenario. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2005 00:39:52 -0500 From: ago Subject: Rimitti "Sidi Mansour" cd Hi All, I've been looking for the "Sidi Mansour" cd by Cheika Rimitti for quite a while. I've frequented cd stores, and record conventions, and asked DGM to reprint. I've recently been outbid on eBay for both the original cd and a recent cd of the out-takes, after making fairly extravagant bids. Would anyone out there be willing to burn me a copy of this out-of-print cd? On my word, if it ever came out again as an "official release" I would purchase that cd just to have it in my collection and give the artists their due compensation. If so, please contact me at ago_sub at comcast dot net. Thanks very much. Interesting tid-bit I came across while trying to find this cd: Rimitti never actually met Robert Fripp or Flea for the recording of this CD. She was in France while they were in which-ever studio they happened to be in. Cheika Rimitti expressed a desire to meet and thank the artists who helped her make this CD, even though she felt that she had been ripped-off by the producer of the CD. Regards, ago p.s. If Lars is still out there, please contact me. A melted hard-disk and no back-ups made me lose your e-dress. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2005 18:06:00 +0000 From: Bob K Subject: Eno-Blair-Krim Alexander Domrin's post in the last ET reminded me of some semi-related trivia... > "Musician Brian Eno" was mentioned in the Financial Times (March 5/6, > 2005, page W1) among other British celebrities who on Nov. 24, 2004 > participated in a press conference in the House of Commons annexe > demanding resignation of Tony Blair When I saw the 21st Century Schizoid Band (@ the Coach House, San Juan Capistrano, CA), Jakko Jacszyk, in his spoken introduction to 21st Century Schizoid Man, stated that Tony Blair claimed it in an interview to be his favorite song.
